what if she isn't a virgin?

I have chosen to remain abstinent until marriage. Should I only marry someone who is also a virgin?

Demarcus

Demarcus,

You should marry a person because of that person's heart. Regardless of anyone's past decisions, if your values are the same (they are now practicing abstinence and believe that sex is for marriage only), be open to marriage.

It's important that you don't get involved with someone who wants to pressure you. Make sure they are true to abstinence. In other words...stick to your standards and do not let anything (or anyone) sway you.

Also realize that if your partner was sexually active prior to marriage, they may be infected with an STD. Be sure they have the appropriate medical tests to rule out any incurable and/or fatal STDs.
